When COVID-19 came our clinics could no longer operate because the vets and volunteers could not work in the restricted area these spay and neuter procedures require. So Cindi mothballed the clinics on a temporary basis and concentrated on rescuing abandon cats and dogs.
People in the community bring the animals to the Ranch were Cindi takes care of their veterinarian needs and then gets on her phone, FACEBOOK or email in an effort to place them with responsible owners. Sometimes she finds acceptable folks in the States and drives the adopted animals up to their new homes.
Currently we have four adopted dogs and eight adopted cats that are family. Almost all of our adopted animals have medical conditions that require regular veterinarian services so we average about two trips each week to the vets and groomers.
There are three groups of different animals on the Ranch – Our adopted dogs and cats, farm-type goats and chickens and those animals we are taking care of until they are placed with responsible owners.
Living with us now in our animal friendly house are four dogs and eight cats that we learned to love and keep as permanent pets. Our house has special patios and living spaces for these animals.
There is 24 hour in/out access for these animals, special feeding rooms, and segregated patios for the cats and dogs. We even have a climbing tree inside for the cats extending up to 18 foot high ceiling beams.
